Now, Let's Take That Feeling And Turn It Into A Reality!
The days of calling subs, filling last minute holes when volunteers don't show up and the anxiety and worry that comes from wondering if you will have enough volunteers is over.
This class will help you identify all the leaders you need, place them in the right area of service for them and for you. The class will give you practical tools and relevant teaching from an experienced leader who has a track record for building and empowering teams. If you want to Build A Volunteer Team That Lasts then this class is for you!
I believe the worst
thing you can do to someone learning how to build a volunteer team is to
tell them something they already know. In this module you will discover
new ideas founded on unconventional wisdom. Beliefs fuel our behavior
so we will spend some time deciding how to think differently about our
volunteer culture.
We all need passionately gifted volunteer leaders to make a difference. Finding those leaders can be difficult and, at times, feel downright impossible. I know, I have been there, felt that but I didn’t want to stay there and continue to feel that! In this module you will learn a proven leadership process that will help you explore and engage potential volunteer leaders.
Building, leading and shepherding a volunteer team are important skills
needed to take your team to the next level. In this module you will
learn the value of leading each volunteer the way they need to be led.
You will receive the tools and resources you need to encourage, equip,
energize and empower your volunteer leaders to reach their God given
potential.
We want to develop a culture that perpetuates and attracts great volunteer leaders. In this module we will learn how to evaluate both our leaders and our process to make sure we are empowering each person to reach their potential. We will also explore the value of connection and the power that comes from having teams build strong relationships.
Building a Volunteer Team That Lasts both challenged and encouraged me to really lean into a new way of thinking when it comes to our volunteers. Craig helped me see how important it is to help every volunteer know and feel that they are fulfilling a calling rather than doing a job. Craig’s humorous approach with relevant content and practical application helped revolutionized our Children’s Ministry here at Southeast Christian Church.

Craig's experience with volunteers is well documented. He has written
several books and articles on the topic of volunteering and leadership
and he speaks regularly to groups around the country on the topic of
volunteer leadership.
He has lead volunteer teams in two large
churches. In his first experience leading volunteers he more than
doubled volunteer leadership from 150 to over 300. And, while serving on
staff at Saddleback Church he more than doubled the volunteer team from
700 to over 1600 volunteer leaders for weekend ministry and small
groups and had over 600 volunteers serving in Summer Spectacular (VBS)
every year.
While at Saddleback, Craig and his team transitioned weekend volunteer leaders and small group leaders from serving part time to serving full time, every week with the same kids in the same group or class each week. Craig oversaw 30 paid staff and a volunteer leadership team of over 2000.
